Sound system delivery and collection available in Adelaide.

Delivery and Collection Across Adelaide

Audio Hire provides delivery and collection for speakers, PA systems, microphones and other sound equipment across Adelaide. If you would rather not collect and return your equipment from our Walkerville location, we can bring your booked equipment to your event address and return after the hire period to collect it again.

Delivery can be particularly useful when you are hiring larger speaker systems, multiple speakers, subwoofers, mixers or other equipment that may be difficult to transport in an ordinary vehicle. It can also make event preparation easier when you already have enough to organise without adding equipment collection and return to the list.

Delivery and Collection Pricing

Our delivery and collection service has a $100 base rate plus $4 per kilometre, with the distance component calculated one way from Audio Hire in Walkerville to your delivery address. This single fee covers both the original delivery and the later collection of the equipment.

For example, if your venue is 10 kilometres from Walkerville, the delivery and collection fee is calculated as the $100 base rate plus 10 kilometres at $4 per kilometre. You are not charged the distance component again for the return trip to collect the equipment.

The applicable fee is calculated automatically when you enter your delivery address during the online booking process, so you can see the delivery and collection charge before completing your booking.

What Standard Delivery Includes

Standard Delivery & Collection means Audio Hire brings your booked equipment to the agreed location and returns after the booking to collect it. The standard service is to an accessible ground-floor delivery point at the nominated address.

Your booked equipment will be prepared before delivery and the standard power and audio cables required for the booked system will be supplied with it. Depending on your booking, that may include speakers, stands, microphones, mixers, XLR cables and other accessories included with the system.

Delivery does not automatically include setting up or operating the equipment. If you would like Audio Hire to position, connect and test the system for you, see Sound System Setup Adelaide. If you need somebody to remain at your function and operate the sound system, see Event Sound Technician Hire Adelaide.

Delivery, Setup and Full-Service Are Different Services

Audio Hire offers different levels of service depending on how much of the technical work you want to handle yourself. With Dry Hire, you collect the equipment from Walkerville, transport it, set it up and return it after the booking. With Delivery & Collection, Audio Hire handles the transport to and from your event, while you remain responsible for setting up and operating the system unless additional services have been arranged.

For events where you would prefer Audio Hire to take care of the technical side as well, professional setup can be arranged. More involved events can also use full-service sound support, including delivery, setup, operation during the event, pack-down and removal. This makes it possible to choose the level of service appropriate to your event rather than paying for technical operation where you only need transport.

Delivery Access

Our standard delivery service is designed for an accessible ground-floor location where equipment can be moved safely and efficiently between the delivery vehicle and the agreed drop-off point. If your venue has stairs, restricted vehicle access, a long distance between the loading area and the event space, specific loading times or other access requirements, please let us know before booking.

These details are especially important for hotels, function centres, corporate venues, schools, community halls and other managed locations. Some venues have designated loading docks, service entrances, restricted delivery windows or rules applying to external suppliers. Checking these requirements with the venue before booking can help prevent delays on the day.

If access is unusual or you are unsure whether standard delivery is suitable, contact Audio Hire with the venue details before completing your booking.

Hotels, Function Centres and Managed Venues

If your event is being held at a hotel, function centre, conference venue or other managed property, we recommend speaking with the venue before booking delivery. Ask where external suppliers should unload, whether there are restricted loading times, whether a lift is required and how far equipment needs to travel from the loading point to the event space.

A venue may describe itself as having easy access while still requiring suppliers to use a loading dock several floors or corridors away from the function room. Providing accurate access information allows us to confirm the appropriate delivery arrangement before the day of your event.

Stairs, Lifts and Difficult Access

Standard delivery is to an accessible ground-floor location. Stairs, upper levels, difficult lift access, long carries from the vehicle or restricted loading conditions can significantly change the amount of handling required.

If your event is in an apartment, upstairs venue, rooftop space or any location with unusual access, contact us before booking. Tell us where the equipment needs to go, whether there is lift access and approximately how far the equipment must be moved from the vehicle. We can then confirm what is practical and whether additional arrangements are required.

When Should I Book Delivery?

Delivery bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance so we can schedule both the delivery and the later collection. For larger bookings, busy weekends, regional locations or events with specific venue access times, earlier booking is strongly recommended.

The more specific the delivery window, the more useful it is to confirm the arrangements early. If a venue only allows supplier access during a particular period, include that information when making your booking or contact Audio Hire beforehand.

Delivery for Speaker and PA Hire

Delivery and collection are available for Audio Hire’s Speaker Hire Adelaide, PA Hire Adelaide, Microphone Hire Adelaide and Sound System Hire Adelaide bookings.

For larger systems involving several speakers, stands, subwoofers and associated equipment, delivery can often be more practical than transporting everything yourself. When choosing between collection and delivery, consider not only whether the equipment will fit in your vehicle but also whether you are comfortable moving it safely at both the beginning and end of the booking.

Collection From Walkerville

You can also collect and return your hire equipment from Audio Hire in Walkerville by appointment. Collection is often the most economical option where you have suitable transport and are comfortable handling and setting up the equipment yourself.

Audio Hire is based in Walkerville, just outside the city, making collection particularly convenient for customers in the inner suburbs. Your equipment will be checked and prepared for the booking before your scheduled collection.

If you would prefer to manage the complete hire yourself, browse our Dry Hire equipment. If you would rather avoid transporting the equipment, choose Delivery & Collection during the booking process.

Which Service Is Right for Me?

Dry Hire is generally appropriate when you have suitable transport and are comfortable collecting, connecting and operating the equipment yourself. Delivery & Collection is useful when you are happy to set up and operate the system but do not want to transport it. Professional setup is the better option where you want Audio Hire to deliver, position, connect and test the system before the event begins.

For concerts, conferences, weddings, corporate events, live music and other functions where the sound needs active management throughout the programme, an Event Sound Technician can take responsibility for operation as well.

Not Sure Whether You Need Delivery or Setup?

Tell us what you are organising, where it is being held, approximately how many people are attending and what equipment you are considering. If access is unusual, include details about stairs, lifts, loading zones or venue delivery times.

You do not need to work out the service level yourself. Contact Audio Hire and we can help determine whether collection, Delivery & Collection, professional setup or full-service technical support makes the most sense for your event.
