We’re a locally owned Adelaide business specialising in sound equipment hire for parties, weddings, corporate functions, live music, presentations and other occasions. We’ve worked in the music industry since 1992, so we’ve spent more than three decades around musicians, venues, live sound and audio equipment.

That experience shapes the way we approach equipment hire today. We keep our range focused, look after the equipment ourselves and deal directly with our customers. The idea behind Audio Hire is simple: hiring good sound equipment shouldn’t be complicated.

You shouldn’t need to be an audio engineer to work out what you need. You should be able to browse the equipment, understand what it’s for, see current pricing, check availability and book online. And if you’re not sure what you need, you should be able to ask someone who knows the equipment.

We know the gear we supply

We specialise in sound equipment and keep our hire range focused on equipment we know, use and are confident supplying to our customers. Our main speaker range is Electro-Voice, supported by professional microphones, mixers, subwoofers, speaker stands, microphone stands, cables and other equipment needed to put together a complete sound system.

Because we know the equipment we supply, we can help you choose a system that suits what you’re organising rather than simply handing you a list of equipment. The size and layout of the venue, number of guests, whether the function is indoors or outdoors, and how the system will be used can all affect what equipment is appropriate.

We look after our own equipment

Hire equipment gets transported, set up, packed down and used in many different environments, so looking after it between bookings matters. We check and prepare our equipment before it goes out on hire, with the aim of having everything clean, complete and ready to use.

That applies not only to speakers, microphones and mixers, but also to the less obvious parts of a sound system, including cables, stands, connectors and accessories.
