Premium Black Stanchion & Velvet Rope Set

Audio Hire’s stanchions and velvet ropes are available for hire in Adelaide for creating defined entrances, queues, walkways and guest areas at weddings, school formals, corporate functions, parties, presentations and other occasions. They provide a simple way to organise a space while giving entrances and designated areas a more polished appearance.

Stanchions can be positioned to guide guests towards an entrance, create a defined pathway, separate different areas of a venue or establish a boundary around equipment and activities. Because the layout can be adjusted to suit the available space, they are useful in venues where a temporary barrier or guest pathway is required without installing permanent fixtures.

The velvet ropes connect between the stanchions to create a clearly visible boundary while maintaining a presentation suitable for formal and social occasions.

Entrances, Walkways and Guest Areas

A defined entrance can help guests understand where to go when they arrive at a venue. Stanchions and ropes can be used to create a short entry pathway, direct people towards registration or reception areas, or separate arriving guests from other parts of the venue.

They can also be useful inside a function space. For example, stanchions can define a waiting area, manage a queue or create separation between guests and equipment that should not be accessed.

The number required depends on the length and shape of the area you want to define. A short entrance may only require a modest arrangement, while a longer walkway or larger boundary will require additional stanchions and ropes.

Weddings, School Formals and Corporate Functions

For weddings and formal celebrations, stanchions and velvet ropes can help define entrances and selected guest areas without requiring substantial staging or temporary structures. They can be used around reception entrances, photo areas and other focal points where a clear boundary or pathway is useful.

At school formals, graduations and similar functions, they can help create an organised arrival area or define spaces for photography and other activities.

For corporate functions, awards nights, launches and promotional activities, stanchions can be used for guest arrival, registration areas, queues and temporary boundaries. Their modular arrangement allows the layout to be adapted to suit the venue rather than requiring a fixed configuration.

An Ideal Addition to the 360 Photo Booth

Stanchions and velvet ropes can also be used alongside Audio Hire’s professionally operated 360 Photo Booth.

They can help define the booth area, create a clear place for guests to wait and separate the operating space from surrounding foot traffic. This can be particularly useful at busy weddings, school formals, parties and corporate functions where many guests may want to use the booth throughout the booking.

Audio Hire’s 360 Photo Booth is provided as a full-service experience, including delivery, setup, an attendant throughout the booking, pack-down and removal. If stanchions are being used specifically with the booth, they can be considered as part of the overall layout when the equipment is set up.

How Many Stanchions and Ropes Do I Need?

The number you need depends on what you are trying to create. A simple entrance, queue, photo area and longer walkway all require different configurations.

Before booking, consider the approximate length of the area, whether you need a straight line or a pathway with turns, and how much room guests need to move comfortably through the space.

If you are unsure how many will be appropriate, tell Audio Hire what you are planning and approximately how large the area is. We can help you consider a suitable configuration based on the equipment available.
